With the Tom Holland production being high profile and eyeing Broadway, Ithink this is quite unlikely to be a stage production. I have a feeling this will be one of those audible versions like the recent 1984 with Andrew Scott and Garfield.

Cool touch that they set their locations to Verona.

Saw the teddy bears in the background, it really reminded me of a production I saw at Wilton's Music Hall (which I - slightly oddly - LOVED). Alas, that was Macbeth... took me a good few minutes of googling to remember it wasn't R+J! Though I can't help but feel a six-foot walking teddy bear an incredible R+J would make. If anyone's interested though, www.wiltons.org.uk/whatson/771-macbeth

Hearing this will be a New York/ Broadway production not UK.
Puts into question whether the Holland one will transfer.

Just forced myself to sit through two and a half minutes of the shouty tiktok man to find out more (ouch)
He seems to know for a fact that it'll be Sam Gold directed, playing on bway. W/ music by Jack Antonoff

Shame if it is Broadway, as I would love to see this in the West End, especially with Zegler.
I didn’t even get tickets for the Tom Holland one.

Shame it’s Broadway as I’d have happily booked to see those two, despite booking the Jamie Lloyd/Tom Holland one.
Wonder if it’ll transfer here later? If it’s not on until autumn it’d leave a decent gap between productions.

I can't help but think that in terms of casting, we got the better Romeo and Juliet.
It's like An Enemy of the People where two productions are debuting on both sides of the Atlantic.

Is this an actual musical may I ask!?
Will they sing, WILL THEY SING?!
As if it's a yes I'd like to go.

I quite like that there are two such high profile productions of R&J coming this year. It'll be really interesting to compare the two. Talk about two households both alike in dignity!
I'm already planning a Broadway trip to see Sunset again, so I hope I can catch it while I'm there.

Believe this may be for Circle in the Square Yes, the preview of the website indicated as such - alas, the actual website is now being (deliberately?) vague!

Anyone have any idea of potential dates for this yet? From the casting call, rehearsals start mid-August, so previews probably begin late September, and planned to go through to mid-February.
