Better than quite good! The lyrics are very well put together and the whole thing has a good flow. Like it very much - has shades of Schwartz's West End Avenue. I hope they don't smother it in unnecessary orchestration! |

Loved it. Kristin is wonderful, absolutely perfect. Really liked the score, and having not been familiar with the documentaries or real life subjects, I found the story easy to follow and really interesting.
I’m sure it will tighten (clocked in at 3:05 with a slightly extended interval) but you have a fairly unique musical here with some great comedy, some touching moments, and a tour de force leading lady.

The show needs a SIGNIFICANT amount of work so hopefully they’ll use that time before it comes to Broadway to really work and overhaul a lot of it.

The film is on iplayer. It's really good and the material has all the ingredients for a engrossing musical.

The Caviar Dreams song sounds like a lot of melodies from Wicked stitched together to me.
