They are truly pathetic attention seekers who put back the environmental cause with each of their infantile actions

Hearing they caused damage to the grid above the orchestra meaning that some of it fell onto the pit members
They need to serve serious prison time

Just read on X that the show was cancelled. Bunch of imbeciles, I would´ve been fuming. Imagine paying 200 quid plus transport, hotel... for this.

It fails to win over hearts and minds on so many levels.
Counterproductive doesn't quite cover it

I went last week. Had the time of my life. Knowing some of the audience will happen to have to leave London tomorrow and won´t get to see the rest of the show upsets me even more. So unfair.

I agree with their right (and the need) to protest about this, but the way they go about it is so stupid. Why don’t they glue themselves to the gates outside Downing Street or an oil refinery? Do something that actually affects the people causing pollution, because all they’ve done is make a theatre full of people very angry at them.
Saw a similarly futile protest on social media. Russell Tovey, Peter Tatchell, various other LGBT people protesting Suella Braverman… in Westminster… while every Tory in the country is in Manchester.

I care passionately about the environment and our future, but I detest everything these people do. They are achieving nothing they want and if anything make me care LESS!

They should have protested for Cameron to bring back the revolve.

I completely agree with others that their actions are completely counter productive - I'd be frothing at the mouth if a performance I was at was disrupted, and far from spreading their message my friends and family would take against them for it.
BUT
'Les Miserables' has been performing its ersatz revolution for nearly 40 years in the West End, it's rather easy to bask in the spectacle and be buoyed up by the tunes, while getting to feel just a little bit radical by siding with the student revolutionaries. Second hand radicalism, sitting on a velvet seat in the dark, facing a cast asking "will you join in our crusade, who will be strong and stand with me?", does look a bit absurd in the context of real protest.

What absolute stupidity. This is no way to gather public support for the cause

They should have protested for Cameron to bring back the revolve. Didn't Cameron say he wanted to "cut the Green crap"? Edit. Sorry that was David Cameron. Not Cameron Mackintosh. As you were.

I'm now getting a bit suspicious of anyone on here who's ever asked:
"How high's the stage?"

Did these idiots buy tickets or did they invade the theatre? If the latter, it’s worrying re security.

Sooner or later things will turn ugly when the protesters target an event. It was ironic a lot of protesters were "rounded up" before the Coronation when it would have been quite funny if the Kings Guard had marched over them.
I do wonder why doesn't the Government just put this group on the banned list they did it with Wagner the other week and have done it with Al Qaeda, British First etc. They can soon ban things or tell people what they can post about when they want to.

I agree with their right (and the need) to protest about this, but the way they go about it is so stupid. Why don’t they glue themselves to the gates outside Downing Street or an oil refinery? Or the many coal plants in China, the lithium mines or other high polluting industries instead of us regular folk who have been trying to do our bit for the past few years without these idiots shaming us. I mean these groups somehow get funding, surely they can scrounge enough money to take a trip to these places to do meaningful protests and get the word out.

Surely protesting at the currently ongoing Tory party conference in Manchester would have been better? I know common sense is seemingly lacking when it comes to their choices in protest locations but still....

This is just terrible!
Surely they had to have purchased a ticket to get in?
What about security checks at the theatre?
