I didn't think I could dream as big as Audra being there. Oh my goodness, what a treat!

Is it Patrick Wilson's London debut? He's such a fine singer of R&H music

I have a friend now looking for seating advice but I'm no help because I've only ever sat in the stalls at Drury Lane. Would people recommend rows Q-S side stalls, rear royal circle or centre grand circle?

Seatplan is their friend on this.
With the refurb at DL though, sightlines are pretty good everywhere

Why don't I know who Patrick Wilson is? Sounds as if I should.

Why don't I know who Patrick Wilson is? Sounds as if I should. One of those actors with a really long and varied CV, but I’ve only seen him myself in Watchmen, the TV version of Angels in America and a thing that was like a spoof 70s sci-fi. Since this is Theatreboard I’m guessing there’s a good chance you’d have seen him playing Raoul in the Phantom movie. (I haven’t.)

Do people think this will drop a matinee once Sales pick up as they have been doing on these shows or the evening show really is a one off.

Do people think this will drop a matinee once Sales pick up as they have been doing on these shows or the evening show really is a one off. Sales were very slow when tickets went on sale probably due to the price and no cast announcement, but I looked just now and a lot more seats have now been sold since the cast names have been released. So I'm guessing there is a chance.

Matinee just announced for 2.30pm. Looking at the evening performance it's now very well sold.

From my observations of similar circumstances, each time a 'name' is announced, another wave of tickets get sold.

Couple more BIG names to come too I'm honestly thrilled with the names we already have. The idea that there's even more coming is so exciting.

Great news. Don’t really do concerts but really looking forward to this.
I did notice the website had a disclaimer about how they can’t guarantee the stars attendance at any of the performances but wondered if that was just a copy-and-paste job.

To be fair every concert has that disclaimer. I've had a few disappointments over the years with artists not appearing at the last minute so it's just a case of keeping your fingers crossed.

Very expensive but, given the cast already announced, I’ve booked myself a cheap ticket for the matinee now.

Thank you alece10 for posting about the matinee as not had any other notification or seen it mentioned. Interesting they changed prices from the evening with the 166.70 now down to 141 for the afternoon but the 85.70 have gone up to 110 and 57.70 are now 84 . Now the afternoon prices are closer its a decision whether to splash out and get a closer or even front row seat as seatplan seems to show a lot of issues with the low rake and heads in front even in the circles. But very pleased to get chance to see the show now.

Very happy to see a matinee added but IMHO it's ambitious pricing (nothing in stalls or royal circle under £110) and suspect some discounting will be needed.
A lot of the people prepared to pay those sort of prices will have already booked. Impressive casting ; I'd love to sit in the stalls front row - and would willingly pay the £95 I did for the Sondheim concert on Wednesday - but £141 is just too much for me.

How likely do we think the matinee will be discounted closer to the time? I would love to go, but really don't want to pay £40 for the last row of the balcony...

More big names Daniel Dae Kim Aaron Tveit Ashley Park Marisha Wallace Marisha Wallace has already been announced but the other 3 are new. I've not heard of Daniel Dae Kim though but know the others. I'm a fan of Aaron Tveit ever since he did Assassins at the Menier.

Nice additions, esp Aaron Tveit. Says there’s still more stars to be announced. Plus there’s the promised chamber choir and dance ensemble. Should be a bloody huge show.
Don’t usually bother with concerts but I’m really looking forward to this.
