I watched the first episode of this Bridgerton spinoff last night and thought it was great fun. The locations and costumes are absolutely stunning. This is no "on the cheap" programme.

We watched the whole thing yesterday…really good, only spoilt by a tiny bit of implausible retconning. Appealing leads alongside old favourites in the Bridgerton timeline. Golda Rosheveul walks away with the whole thing again; a fab combo of great character writing and great character acting. It is a delight.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this, since with Bridgerton I often find myself cringing (all the damn sex), rolling my eyes (too many to count), or outright disliking the characters (Daphne, Edwina, I'm looking at you). This was genuinely engaging and some fantastic casting to match up the older and younger versions of each person. I loved Brimsley and Reynolds, and George was absolutely heartbreaking to watch.
I'm not sure another season of this is practical, but I'd sort of like to see it.

This is his first major filmed role, and he was both charming and heartbreaking by turns. There's a career I'm going to watch.
This has been such a fun series. I more or less watched the first two for * something * to watch with lockdown and following up, all while wincing at the anachronisms. Now - if they could apply whatever they learned on this series to Bridgerton proper, then I'd be happy. Loving Queen Charlotte at both ages.

Just finished this and agree with all the praise.
It felt more rounded than the main series.
Brinsley needs his own show. I need to know what happened!
Costume designers had a great time. So many stunning looks.

I got through four episodes before losing interest. Looks beautiful but the absence of the mystery element of “who is Lady Whatnot” makes it a pretty boring storyline. Didn’t grab me.
