Tonight's performance is cancelled. Someone is having a bad old go of it.
I'm due to go on Wednesday but I'm not sure if it'll be on now.

Sounds a bit retro but my neighbour has had a bad week with Covid.

Did anyone see this with the understudies last night? I am due to go tonight & wondering if Tennant and Jumbo will be on, or if not, will there be a credit/refund option.

Due to go tonight. I paid a lot for this ticket and not sure whether to seek a refund. There was a refund option last night.

My maximum for a Max Webster production of Shakespeare with an entirely non-star cast would be about £30.

I thought it was a good production at the Donmar, and it was nice to experience the headphone soundscape. But obviously people have paid top prices for this expecting Tennant and Jumbo, not just to see what the soundscape is like.

I saw it at the Donmar too, and wanted to see the leads again. Hope at least DT will be well enough tonight.

I thought this was far better than the Ralph Fiennes production earlier this year. I saw the play just before Halloween and it felt appropriately spooky and atmospheric.

Someone has posted a screenshot on X that is from a Facebook post from Jasmin Hinds’ dad. She’s Cush Jumbo’s understudy, and he says that Tennant is back tonight and his daughter will be performing opposite him. It’s a bit tenuous, but hopefully it’s true that he will be on, though Cush is still off.

I loved this and really bought into the whole binaural sound which was so incredibly crisp and effective.
David Tennant was back on and showed no signs at all of being under the weather so, really, fair play to him in such a demanding role. Cush Jumbo was still indisposed but her understudy Jasmin Hinds was very good. Illness must have floored the company as at least three others were off as well including Cal MacAninch as Banquo (Niall MacGregor was superb and I'm sure he would have been excellent in the lead role too) and Noof Ousellam as Macduff. You wouldn't have known of any backstage disruption. It was pretty flawless. The girl who was beside me was a New Yorker and she hated the Porter section but I quite enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward to the cinema release now. No poll, I see, surprisingly, but 5* from me.

Very much agree with Rory about the show last night. Tennant was excellent as expected, and the understudies all great - I wouldn’t have know which were understudies. Nice to see this again, although I preferred it in the more intimate Donmar. I’ll probably go and see the cinema version - I’m curious to see how the sound will work.

I saw this last night and upon leaving I saw something I’ve never seen before in a play and that they are selling programmes and play text as expected, but they are also selling a vinyl for the play, is this a new record?

Very interesting. Is the vinyl like a radio play version? Or just a spooky soundscape to pop on to freak out visitors?

Damn and there I was hoping that they'd made a vinyl of the pre-show headphone sound check that they play on repeat

This could be right up there with the original cast recording of London Tide.
