Ooh, there are some deeper cuts in there!!
Sorta feel the inclusion of songs not written by SAW or SW is a cheat/fudge! i.e. famous cover versions they produced.

It's great to see Manchester getting another 1st viewing of a new show. It's also nice to see Sunday shows in the schedule. I've booked front row for the first Sunday show.

All booked for Southampton! Yes I expect it’ll be full on cheese on toast, but I grew up listening to SAW’s music, so couldn’t miss it. Was also at Hit Factory Live at the o2 (it was December 2012) and it was an incredible childhood dreams come true night 😊

ATG presale for Manchester already live. Most of the stalls tickets are half price for first night, so have booked a cheap ticket I couldn't find this listed on ATG's site at all, despite visiting it specifically to look for it. OK, Manchester is miles from my home but I'd still have expected to find this in the alphabetical list of shows. (However, an ill wind, etc: found a far more convenient ATG venue with a one-off musical event I'd never heard of and only a few days away. Almost sold out but booked a ticket.) If I find a link to the SAW musical tour I will post it unless someone else beats me to it.

Ah, no wonder I couldn't find a site other than the same one that theatreian did. Wouldn't have occurred to me to search for an abbreviated name.

Can’t believe they have made a musical of the Saw movies. Those torture scenes are going to be hard to stage. Bound to be some walkouts

More venues added. Wimbledon goes on pre-sale tomorrow and general booking Tuesday for January 2024.
Also going to Glasgow, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Bristol, Liverpool and Aberdeen. Quite an extensive tour.

I wonder how much Stock and Aitken will be involved as all the songs were on PWL records so Pete may well own publishing rights too.
There are certainly enough original songs they wrote to give us a decent jukebox musical and whilst their music wasn't to my taste back then it would be a great nostalgia night for those of that era plus Kylie still has a good following and is back in the charts so her fanbase will probably be all over it.
If it is running a week in most major cities it can get a good tour out of it, nothing for the Midlands or outer London announced so should be good for a decent tour.
A huge amount of SAW songs were always "non gender specific" as I think they wrote songs and then fitted them to artists so for a storyline you can go into a lot of ways and a romance or rekindling of youthful love/friendship could easily be meshed around the songs.

Anyone else seeing "The SAW musical" and thinking of the Saw Horror movie franchise.... I’m glad I’m not the only one! A Saw musical would be insane, but I’d love to see someone try it!

I'm honestly surprised its taken them this long to do a musical, what an enormous money spinner this will be for them, because I can see this doing the rounds for decades. That's not a criticism by the way, I grew up listening to their records, I have no doubt this will be a brilliant night out, I've booked for Southampton.

I fully agree Talkingheads when we see other jukebox musicals and given the enduring popularity of some of the acts who recorded their songs.

This is the 80s/90s equivalent of Dreamboats and Petticoats by the sound of things.
And that did good business for years
Just not sure those of us of that generation are ready for the nostalgia trip.
And I dread to think how much singing along there will be.

I don't want to be the person coming on to say how awful something new looks without giving it a chance. But something just died in me watching that trailer.

Pete Waterman on BBC Breakfast saying they want people standing up and singing along, indeed it will be a failure if that doesn't happen.... 😲

Strong cast! I could watch Jess Daley sing the phone book…Mel Jacques, Gio Spano…this is getting more interesting by the minute.

I did laugh at the Turkey / Torquay joke. However I shall be busy ramming pencils in my eyes and so can't make a single performance of it. Gutted.

I definitely won’t be booking, but this looks so hideously awful that I kinda do want to see it.

I definitely won’t be booking, but this looks so hideously awful that I kinda do want to see it. That's exactly why I've booked for the Alex in Brum, and £26.50 for front row (with opening night member discount) seemed a good deal.
