The email to DMT+ members just arrived... a prompt 40 minutes after Daniel and I posted on here... Just saying... I deleted the email with a smug grin on my face.

Do we think the Row G Stalls seats are good value? The outermost ones are usually red on theatremonkey, does the cabaret layout in front of these seats change this?

I thought I'd asked this question previously, but can't find it anywhere in the thread...
For anyone who saw it in New York, what is the on-stage seating like? Worth the money? Trying to figure out whether to go for these, or a normal Stalls seat.

I avoided the front side seats and booked further back next to the premium seats. The wing seats at the Wyndhams are not great.

Hmm, I'd normally go for the balcony at the Wyndhams, but with the cabaret feel it might be worth being a bit closer to the action. I've never done the back of the stalls before - anyone tried them? How'd they feel?

Trying to figure out whether to go for these, or a normal Stalls seat. I saw the show in New York, from a seat that wasn't at one of the tables, and I would say that a normal stalls seat at Wyndham's should be fine, unless you really want to feel like you're actually in the club where Billie Holiday is performing her show (and possibly have some up close and personal contact with Audra). That said, the configuration in New York was different from what the configuration at Wyndham's will be like, because the seating at the New York theater was in the round, so it's difficult to say how the two experiences will compare.

Presumably she is is doing all performances of this? She's only doing 6 performances a week so I'd hope so.

For anyone who saw it in New York, what is the on-stage seating like? Worth the money? Trying to figure out whether to go for these, or a normal Stalls seat. I sat in one of the tables right in front of the stage and it was an amazing experience. I don't know if they'll do the same in London, but we had a waiter for table drink service along with a complimentary glass of champagne. Really helped to set the mood. Once Audra appeared, the illusion was complete. Her immersion into the character was so total that I was more than happy to play my part. I felt like I actually was a patron of Emerson's Bar & Grill, seeing Billie Holiday. I will not be in London to see Lady Day again, but, if I were, I would not hesitate to buy another table seat.

queite simply one of the thrilling performances I have ever seen. Essentially a recreation of a live cabaret performance but with lots of narrative giving an insight into the life of this great performer. Audra McDonald's performance was stunning. Lots of audience interaction as well, so you really feel like you are part of the action.

My lovely spouse is going to be in London for a few days and I tried to book for July 1 evening on 17 June from the States. But, first the McIntosh website was down for maintenance. Then I selected a nice (non-premium, non-table) seat, got all the way to the end, selected credit card, but no space to enter the number appeared. The selected seat has not yet been released back. Same thing happened with a different seat. And, the McIntosh box office is closed on Sunday. Aargh.

If you wait a few hours it should be released back and you'll be able to book.

I saw this from a box seat on Saturday night and still have goosebumps from it. Audra is quite simply breathtaking in this role.

So good to see people enjoying it! Can't wait to see in next week. What a time to be alive. Seeing Audra twice in one year.
