Have we ever been this close to a cast change for this show but not known who the newcomers were yet? I believe he's leaving a little early judging by that as ensemble are leaving at the end of the month.

I saw this last night and quite liked it. There was a lack of development of Lermontov's character so the ultimate dramatic ending fell a little short imo. I enjoyed the Sylphides moments but could've done without the comedy music hall dance number. Very effective design and music.

Isn't it the Mariinksy who do the happy ending Swan Lake? Never liked that! Might be going to catch a couple of these though.

I just caught up on the tv broadcast, I'm not so much a fan of the falling over/set breaking jokes but the scene with Smee and Hook had me in stitches.
Also, funny thing I noticed on the mischief theatre website - some of the headshots are of big name actors and not their company. Unless Eddie Redmayne and Daniel Radcliffe have doppelgängers...

New cast announcement must be soon right? Last year they didn't have it until a couple of weeks into rehearsals (which by my count would be this coming week or the next) but it was fairly easy to deduce who was rehearsing via twitter.

I'm not one for memorabilia but my mum surprised me with an antique silver brooch in the shape of a ballet dancer. It was such a unique and different gift and I'm absolutely thrilled with it.

I am a big fan of the ROH production but the ENB is a close second favourite for sure! The BBC documentary about the ROH one was honestly the best thing I've seen on television in ages.

Marisha is on? I've never entered ticket lottery so fast in my life. I absolutely love her and I'm so excited to hopefully catch her as Effie!

I came here just now to ask the same question! It must be a dream for Helen as 1st u/s, it can't be far off two full weeks of shows now?! That rarely happens for a Glinda in the UK! I'm glad for Helen, especially as she didn't get many on tour once Carina started as u/s glinda. I do worry about Carina though. Someone mentioned she said she'd be back in a few weeks. Don't want to book for her Jan dates In case she isn't back though. If it helps, I had to drop a Christmas card in at stage door to a pal who works front of house yesterday and Carina was arriving for evening show standby duty.

I've had mixed experiences at the Noel Coward - Shakespeare in Love I was only offered a restricted view balcony side seat for a half sold performance, the next week middle stalls. It seems to change often!

Saw this tonight, used the todaytix £15 offer for this week they ran a couple of days ago and got a pair of row D just off-centre stalls. Lovely seats, love that theatre and how roomy it is! Enjoyed the play a lot too so might have to seek out the film/tv versions now.

I generally dislike Matthew Bourne's ballets but I'm intrigued about this as I love the red shoes film. Waiting on reviews though.

I think the idea of Les Mis being a great example of cast diversity is hilarious, the male ensemble in particular are one big blur of interchangeable white men. The point is that there needs to be diverse casting outside of roles specifically written for POC, which isn't happening.

If anyone's prepared to pay £199 for both parts there's a handful of tickets for a few December performances (2016 not 2017) appeared on the Nimax site.

I follow the Oscar race closely. There are two frontrunners for original song - Moana and La La Land. The song 'How Far I'll Go' will likely be Lin's Oscar push and is currently sitting nicely at #7 on US iTunes, which Let It Go didn't get to until January. I personally think the Moana soundtrack is far superior to Frozen, although it wont be as popular with kids (no overly repetitive choruses). It also tells story through song in a way that Frozen didn't. It has the most consistently good Disney music since the 90s. He has a good chance, but La La Land is probably going to win Best Picture so there's no clear frontrunner here between the two. The musical structure of Frozen in general was weird - the last song was that comedy one by the trolls! It wasn't very traditional Disney. I've been listening to the Moana songs more today and the arrangements are just lovely. I'm going to be singing the "consider the coconut" line all week...

I saw Moana yesterday and the music is great but I don't feel any of the songs are as strong as Let It Go etc. The overall musical sound is lovely and the arrangements and lyrics wonderful. That said, I don't know what else could be in the original song running. I suppose there's also score awards too! I admit my first thought when hearing LMM was going to be writing for Disney was along the EGOT lines!

I've never had my interest in something disappear so rapidly just based on the casting. Carousel has a beautiful score but that's confusing casting.

Having Cameron as both the producer and theatre owner probably helps out a lot! And also co-creator. And biggest fan!

I'm annoyed I missed seeing Victoria Hamilton Barrett, given most comments seem to say she was the best thing about the show. However I can't face sitting through it a 2nd time in order to see her. She'll do other shows! I've seen her in plenty of roles now and she's been great in all of them.

I saw this about a month ago and still haven't been able to word how much I hated it. Turned up with high hopes and VHB is a fantastic performer but that's honestly all I can note that was good. I almost wished there was an interval so I could run away home. A sung through rock musical about a set of toxic relationships- no thanks.

I had a ticket from a friend who's a patron for a preview of Amadeus and loved it, but didn't imagine the wrath of my jealous mother in going without her. I've been trying to get the Friday rush tickets each week to make it up to her but no luck... does anyone know what the day seat situation is at the national other than the info on their site (9:30, £15 etc etc.) I've never tried to wait/queue for any there. Any experience or info would be welcomed! I've got to get my favourite daughter status back...

I've probably visited the Garrick the most but lots of the things seen there were quite short so the Royal opera house might be the winner for most time.

Seems to have happened less than half an hour before the performance started, is that allowed? Started half an hour late today - I believe due to this!

I'm not even remotely surprised.
I was there tonight, fun to see the new cast members and a solid return from Emma as Vanessa.
