Hmm this is true to an extent, but if enough people complained to the venue they would soon realise that the shows they are allowing into their venue are shoddy and potentially damaging the LWT/Palladium brand. They should be encouraging producers to be doing better. To the average audience member, they are buying tickets for a Palladium show not a Lambert Jackson show for example, so if it's rubbish then that's who they will associate their bad night out with. If I was the billionaire owner of that theatre, I'd certainly be worried by this series of complaints related to shows staged in my premium venue.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but how do ticket agents make money? Is it just the booking fees they charge the person buying the ticket, or do they also charge the producer/theatre for their services?

I highly doubt Disney would film their cash cow, especially considering it´s a show that´s really meant to be seen live. I don´t know a thing, but could it be venue renovations or something? I´d love a proshot of this though. It doesn't necessarily mean they release it right away. They've filmed both Aladdin and Frozen in London and neither has any sign of actually being released. It could be they have a particularly good cast and want to film it so it's in the bank for the future? Or yeah, maybe just sprucing up the loos!

They have made a point of properly filming all their London shows recently, I wonder if they might be doing that?

Am I right in thinking Hodge was in the original London production?

With most of the Stalls and Royal Circle priced at £129 or £103 before fees, it's hardly surprising this hasn't been a sell out smash. I would hesitate to pay that for a fully-staged production, let alone a concert with one name attached.

The gents loos at the Fortune are hilarious. They have a sloping ceiling and the three urinals are positioned around the corner of the tiny room, so (without being too graphic) you have to simultaneously lean your top half backwards while thrusting your bottom half forwards and squeezing yourself in between two other people. All at the same time as other people are trying to come into the room and directly facing you. When you retract to wash your hands, everyone has to do a sort of polite game of human Tetris to get into the right spaces for whatever they're doing.

I have to admit this slightly lost me last night. There was an interesting debate about art Vs artist buried in quite a lot of surreal nonsense that went over my head. I guess the fact it's translated also added to the slightly stilted feeling of the script. I came out more baffled than satisfied but maybe that's the point. One man in the balcony guffawed loudly after almost every line as if to remind us that he understood what was going on.

There is the Chelsea Theatre right at the end of the Kings Road, it used to be quite well known in the world of contemporary dance festivals but I haven't heard much about it for many years. A quick Google shows they do have some interesting stuff on but they don't seem to publicize themselves much.

I was hoping to see this in April but all the dates I can attend every seat in the theatre is £89.50. Is that the policy? I can’t pay that much or ask the people I’m going with to pay that much. Argh I hate these ticket prices now It's cheaper (a bit) earlier in the week. Every ticket in the house is the same price and it gets gradually more expensive through the week. It's quite a unique strategy considering some of the seats in the Fortune are TERRIBLE.

Are the original leads still performing regularly? I had heard some of them call out often. Wondered if that was still the case. I heard the same. 2 out of the 3 times I’ve seen it at Fortune, I had Holly Sumpton fill in as Ewan and Christian Andrews as Hester Leggett and the rest. I believe Natasha Hodgson was off for several weeks with an injury at one point, so that may be why you saw Holly Sumpton a lot.

It was a mad idea in the first place but the rumours of it being cancelled literally as they were loading into the theatre are correct, that's very poor behaviour.

This has "buying a £60 ticket now only to be sent a Today Tix exclusive £15 offer later" written all over it so I'll hold off, even though it looks fun.

Today Tix have a 24hour sale for this Another irritating example of me buying early (£60) instead of waiting for the inevitable discount (£15) a month later.

I had assumed this would be the 'best/campest bits' with some other party filler (a bit like the Mamma Mia one) but perhaps they are doing the full show. In which case, how will the more serious parts of the show land? The play was performed so broadly on recent tours that audiences just kept on laughing even through the darker scenes featuring nasty homophobic slurs. I wonder if they've considered how a drunk, dancing 'party' audience will respond to that sort of thing?
