They've been there ages I think? I don't think they are left on for the whole performance, usually off after the interval. Or maybe after the first latecomers' point after the interval. Presumably on for longer during Lehman Trilogy due to the two intervals? I was at the NT last night to meet a friend and they turned the screen and sound off after about 25 mins (once latecomers were allowed in).

racially sensitive issues/themes that arise in this play? Yes, and they're generally handled in a comic, flippant way in a work by a white able-bodied male London writer, which is what I think some (including me) will have issues with. And I'm sorry if that makes me sound po-faced and joyless because I'm not - I love dark comedy but I think this sort of thing has to be brilliant and come from some sort of place of understanding and experience for the writer to 'earn' it Oh dear, this is putting me off massively. After the way he handled race (badly) in the dreadful Three Billboards I am wondering if I should bother.

It had an interval at the Almeida.
Yes it definitely had an interval at the Almeida because that is when I chose to escape You and me both.

Got a ticket, not entirely sure if I’ll be able to go but fortunately there’s the deposit system now.

I like Cariad Lloyd (her Griefcast podcast is excellent) - I miss the days where Finborough was under a tenner, though.

It's a great play but do we really want or need it back so soon after recently closing in London after 5 years and extensive UK and worldwide touring? Is this the new boomerang show à la An Inspector Calls? Agreed, this and War Horse coming back (though I understand WH is more a "lap of honour, but still) feels a bit stale.

Saw this last night, probably the best thing I've seen at this venue. Enjoyed it hugely. Bodes well for the new season / AD

I saw this at Edinburgh too and was equally surprised at the 5* reviews. The two performances are excellent and have great chemistry, but I found the message and "shocking" bits really obvious and contrived.

Saw it in 2014 when a certain Phoebe Waller-Bridge was in it, its an excellent play.

It’s only a short run but I saw this last night and felt it warranted a thread as it was tremendous. Anna Devare Smith delivers a series of interviews that have been carried out with people involved in police brutality towards people of colour. Each piece is delivered in character and Smith’s delivery is nothing short of electrifying. Incredibly powerful evening and although the highs of the first half aren’t quite reached again after the interval, it packs a hell of a punch.
2hrs 25, including interval. It’s only on until Saturday but highly recommend it if you have a spare evening this week.

£15 stalls booked for Friday 29, £60 tickets for a 30 minute play is insanity.

Can’t believe I was in the same room as Parsley 😍 My companion hated this but I was slightly more charmed - I do have some questions though {Spoiler - click to view} The backdrop for the last scene got stuck this evening - assume this wasn’t part of the play but given the nature of the play I wasn’t sure?
What was that last scene all about?
It’s definitely not a crowd pleaser thorough - one person left ten minutes in!

Was also there last night, a night for the badges.
I agree it was muddled and found the jumping / shuffling/ dancing / whatever you want to call it irritating. Brian Vernel is brilliant, though and makes the evening worthwhile.

The boxes are pretty good. The front seats in A are the best, as they are like being in a normal row. The side seats in B also have total legroom. The rest are movable chairs, so apart from the back seats in A, you should have decent space in all of them - more than you get in the main auditorium in most seats, for sure, at least. So prompt and helpful as ever, thanks Monkey!
