To be fair no one in NYC knows RC and she isn’t the BEST singer. An American known actress could easily replace her.

Playing in The Studio, which is a slightly smaller space that it's current home at The Arts. Nightly for 2 months, with 3 shows on Saturdays and 2 on Sundays. The cast is certainly going to be working hard! But knowing Sydney theatre ,I'd expect discounts for this as it goes along. I don’t get why people say the cast will work hard? Fiddler on then Roof first act alone is longer than than the entire show SIX! Try doing that 8 times a week

I still think this will transfer. They need to give 300 cheap tickets and make It more affordable while making the producers more money!

Edward Baker-Duly had the women and gay men drooling? Were they all members of the AARP? Steven P had everyone drooling. Drooling at my watch to LEAVE! Hahaha

I think we can all safely say that we were all disappointed with Aladdin. It just didn’t match the grace, style and professional chic standard of Lion King, Mary Poppins or Beauty. It had good run and I saw it twice. Will it tour?

OK, I can only speak for myself, but I think I'm as average and vanilla as musical lovers come - I try to see most everything, sometimes even when I'm very doubtful, because I want to form my own opinion and there are very few shows I outright detest (usually for plot/book reasons) and avoid. This one doesn't interest me at all though. I don't believe that singers/bands write their own music all the time, but I had never heard the name of Max Martin before and I know hardly any of the songs mentioned on that poster (and if I do, I don't care for them one jot, like "Baby one more time"). It seems a wild jumble of bland pop songs that might have been famous once but certainly never made a long-lasting impact like, say, ABBA's "Dancing Queen", Queen's "We are the champions" or Michael Jackson' "Thriller" to name but three artists around which successful jukebox musicals have been built. And let's face it, nobody sees jukebox musicals for their usually bonkers' plots, people are in it for the music. This seems a third-rate compilation thrown together for a "90's party" at a local hall. Schitt's Creek is lovely and fun by the way, but there's a massive difference between watching a mildly amusing sitcom for free at home and a very expensive West End show. Sorry, I'm out. I book group tickets for every single show - this one I just don’t care about either!

As far as moving to a bigger venue? Absolutely not. When a show is in the "right" venue you can't replicate that feeling or success. I disagree that it's the 'right' venue. When the show came to London, it was a tiny show from the Edinburgh fringe and it would have been crazy to go to any other theatre, because it was a complete unknown. But now that the show is a huge success, it needs to go somewhere else. I'm not saying a huge theatre, but anything is better than The Arts. Agreed. I think it would look great in a small theatre like Harold Pinter and it would be great to have a large selection of cheaper tickets for young people.

Saw this last night and we all left in the interval. What a mess..
Northern irish accents, humans as animals, blind colour casting gone mad and a really muddy story.
4/10. I wouldn’t recommend.

I think they would shoot themselves in the foot by moving to a bigger theatre. It's selling very well, but it's not that difficult to get tickets when you are prepared to book 2-3 months ahead. If it moved to a bigger West End theatre, they would incur higher costs, but I don't think it would automatically sell out and offset these costs. I haven't actuall seen it (yet), but based on what I know from the show and having been inside the Arts Theatre, I think the intimacy there is perfectly suited to this kind of show and contributes to a special atmosphere (which, I think, makes fans want to return again and again). I really hope they have the sense to keep it the little cult hit it has become and not try to milk it for what it's worth. Personally I think the Broadway move is suicidal. Not just moving to a much bigger theatre, but also offering a flimsy 75-minute concert-like show at Broadway prices. This has already killed so many inventive new shows that moved from Off-Broadway. You obviously haven’t seen Six. It is not a flimsy concert show. Xanadu and Come From Away are are short one act shows (yes I know slightly longer) but the fact is you feel satisfied after watching and that’s all that matters.

How would they change and redevelop the theatre? Isn’t it in quite a small property? I’ve seen the plans a while back. They wanted to basically completely gut the entire place and refurbish if from a grotty fringey student theatre to something more grand and glam. On another note. Who thinks with the success of this SIX will move out to a bigger theatre? After Broadway I think it might do this next summer?

Saw it yesterday. Nothing exiting really happens during pre show. So there's a lot time to talk, until the show starts. Unfortunately I was alone and only Japanese around me. So I talked to myself. Also I don't know why a german should be annoyed of Jewish Terms? That was a few years ago and it was not a good time... So while I was sitting there, analysing what all the people are doing an thinking around me, I also recognized the stage. What a nice set! The performance was quite lesmiserablish but I liked it. The cast was great. The sound was good. The dancing was great. Didn't like Nymans Tevye to much. Reminds me more on Dewey in School of Rock than on a 1920s milkman. Pretty neat production. I liked it. Sat in C1 Dress Circle. Uncomfortable seat. Was hart to sit straight cause the backrest was kind of leaned back. Lesmiserableblish! Haha..... fabulous

I returned my ticket for tonight's show due to a work commitment(T_T). Delfont agreed to put it up for resale as it was a full house tonight. So, I will have to wait for my first night till next Monday (JOJ!). As for AB raising the roof with BHH, it is exactly what puts me off AB's JVJ. The aria is not there for an actor/singer to show off his voice but to tell the story. The reason I admire JOJ so much is that he never puts himself before the music. Rather, he is there to serve it because he respects it. He pays his respect to the music by singing it perfectly. Anyway, that's what I think. AB used to be a fine, but not exceptional, opera singer and I enjoyed listening to him in several different operas. But am I wrong in thinking that the less one is familiar with opera, the more he/she tends to be impressed by AB's BHH? The abbreviations of names is terribly confusing. Lol

Holden made Shrek even more of an unbearable shambles than it should have been...how is that even possible?...and then has the audacity to think she is qualified to judge on BGT...famous for being Mrs Les Dennis...hopeless and desperately vapid casting.... In another world, another parallel universe - theatre and the showbiz industry only casts people for their talent! IF ONLY!

www.vanityfair.com/style/2019/08/princess-diana-broadway-musicalPrincess Diana is headed to Broadway. After an acclaimed run at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, the musical Diana will officially open at Broadway’s Longacre Theatre on March 31, 2020, with performances set to begin March 2. Jeanna de Waal will make the transition to Broadway as Diana, with Roe Hartrampf also returning as Prince Charles, Erin Davie as Camilla Parker Bowles, and Judy Kaye as Queen Elizabeth II.I don't know about "acclaimed," but OK! This had good reviews I heard. It’s very odd for us Brits but I suppose why not - Maybe people in Argentina feel the same way about Evita? Who knows

Does anyone else think it strange that this Windrush story is being adapted and directed by white creatives? Isn’t that a tad insensitive? In this anniversary year when the Windrush generation were treated so appallingly, they now have to experience the appropriation of their stories by the National Theatre. Has RN become so up himself that he can’t see this? Next you’ll say only gay people can direct LGBTQI+ source material. Zzzzzzzzz Aren’t we all human beings and storytellers? Attitudes like that divide us all. Peace x

And Xanadu, Chorus Line, Drowsy Chaperone and Come from Away are different? Lol Yes, they are actually. A Chorus Line is around two hours and Come From Away is 90 minutes. Ten minutes difference!!! Ooooooooooh! Hahahaha.... The fact is it’s FABULOUS and you feel satisfied and that you’ve seen a full quality 9/10 show. Soooooo many shows on broadway have been 7/10 over the past 2/3 years and that’s why they haven’t survived. I think SIX is going to be a BIG FAT HIT. I also think the ARTS theatre in London is too small for it. Broadway here we commmeeee!!!!

Opening on Broadway next year. I love Six. But this is a small fringe/off-Broadway show. It's seventy minutes. How will they justify running it in a Broadway house..with these prices? And Xanadu, Chorus Line, Drowsy Chaperone and Come from Away are different? Lol

Elaine Paige was less than complimentary about this on her radio show this afternoon. She was echoing comments from the Arts Desk review, choosing quotes that the "production fights the small space", "nor can the performers connect with the material", how Edward Baker-Duly "lacks the irresistible smoulder" and how "the leads struggle with Brown's deceptively difficult score". Found it interesting that she would decide to even talk about it at all if those were the comments she agreed with. Obviously nothing wrong with her not being a fan of a production, and I personally think it's good/refreshing that she can constructively criticise a production on her show, I just assumed she would always want to keep it positive with such a large amount of listeners! Isn’t that theatre propaganda to always be positive? People do make me laugh on this board! Haha....

Wow. A black Boq?! One black principal? Give them the Nobel Peace Prize. How silly am I?! I feel so foolish. Lololololol.... There’s 36 cast members. 32 of them are white. Actually one of them is green. #justsaying

I totally agree with its 1 star reviews. I left at the interval I was so bored! It’s like some of you won’t actually allow people to say they thought something didn’t work for them and in their eyes bad.. I disagree. It's like you won't actually allow people to say they didn't dislike something quite as viscerally as you did, although they are willing to acknowledge certain flaws and/or aspects they didn't like, and yet they find that some aspects didn't deserve the 1-star treatment. I’m glad I’m not married to you! Haha.... I wish the production well, I didn’t like it and some did - that’s the beauty of art and theatre.

The 1 star reviews are completely uncalled for/unwarranted. I would have given it 3 stars/ 6 out of 10 easily. I totally agree with its 1 star reviews. I left at the interval I was so bored! It’s like some of you won’t actually allow people to say they thought something didn’t work for them and in their eyes bad..

I’ve heard on the grapevine he’s may have lost his voice, but can’t verify it! brqqr] Maybe 8 shows a week is too much for his voice but will have to get used to it as that's the norm in the job. Although these days so many performers seem to only do 5 or 6 shows a week. Not like the old timers like Imelda Staunton and her generation. NONSENSE - in drama school you’re singing 12 hours a day! The lad is sick!
