David Thaxton, I saw him as Javert last summer. Very impressive. As I’ve only been to two Les Miz shows at the Queens Theatre, all I can say is he is definitely a better Javert than Bradley Jaden. Bradley is a fantastic Enjolras and I love his Fiyero in Wicked. Here is a link with David as Enjorlas. A Bit grainey. Jon Robyns who is the new JVJ is Marius.

I saw Ramin in LM when he was supposed to be so wonderful. There were 3 of us all disappointed in his performance. Hadley Fraser was wonderful as Javert and much better than Ramin. And I have heard BHH sung much better than him by others without his name. When ALW put him on the dvd of Phantom it literally made him.
And previous up the thread I was reading how some people thought Hugh Jackman was good. Possibly the worst sung JVJ of all time.
How can anyone forget David Thaxton's Enjorlas just wonderful. And a great Javert as well.

Keith Jack played the Narrator on the tour before he took over Joseph so if its a male, it has been done. Maybe they will get Paul Zerdin and one of the puppets can be the Narrator.

I totally agree about JOJ's performances. They are virtually identical. Every thought, every gesture, every note, exactly the same. He truly knows JVJ.

The part of her comment which I did not understand was when she said if it was not for the children she would have left. Now they really tailored this part for her so I do not know why she would even say that. Especially since some people bought tickets specifically to see her.
You can be at a party and not drink.

Thanks cheesy116. I did not think to google. A new person using letters I never heard of. Oops sorry. I was only curious as I love the show. I'll stay quiet now! No saying for you to do that at all. It was just you had such a short post but used letters which I had no idea what they represented. Loving or not loving the show had nothing at all to do with it. Just the letter abbreviations which I had never seen before.

Do any cast members have any holidays in December? Want to catch David Thaxton and Rachel specifically... To add to this do we know about the first 2 weeks of January. I could not find it.

Ben's album has become one of my favourites of the year. I wasn't in the country for the gig, alas, but pleased to hear it was good. My other half likes the album but has an issue with Ben's oversinging throughout. He DOES oversing and needs to tone it down a bit but I just love his voice and, in a current pop climate of looped vocal samples and deliberately downbeat vocals, it's nice to have a singer with a penchant for DRAMA! Really fantastic songs. It's got to be the most assured pop debut of a musical theatre star, ever??? Oversing??? He has a vibrato like a nanny goat.

Wow the reactions on here really surprised me. It only lasted 3 weeks on Broadway. Big hype back then and then a flop.

With this same cast? Since I gather this production has been tailored for Sheridan would she return?

I do not think this really would fly long term. Not because its Joseph they have plenty of tours, I just think that the Sheridan type humor would not fly on Broadway. Not to mention Broadway does not have a Sheridan type leading lady (thank goodness). Maybe bring it back to the Palladium next year for the panto. If I remember correctly, you were adamant the Palladium run was going to flop, and would have to heavily discount to shift tickets. Fair enough, this version is not for you (have you actually seen it?), but like it or not, lots of people are enjoying it. And enjoying Sheridan in it. As far as the reception goes you are right I thought it would flop. I am thoroughly surprised by its popularity. No I have no intention of seeing it.

Daniewhit, Don't forget the little boys willing to kill their brother. Or as its commonly known, fratracide. I cannot get passed that. Because of their age.

I still cannot work up any interest in this. Especially at the prices. Babyface Joe, Panto Sheridan and JD. I will wait for Christmas if I want to see a panto.
Its just not Joseph. Its played for laughs and very young children. There really was a story of fratracide there and love for a parent. To play that for laughs I cannot see.

But those people are not on stage.
I think because of the age difference that is why no loincloth. I just find it distasteful. And Sheridan lusting after a Joseph who looks 12 in a loincloth ugh. IMO.

I saw the 2007 production and thought it was very good, aside from King of My Heart. I did not see the 91 production. That was almost 30 years ago. But this is just not Joseph. That picture of Sheridan is horrible. It actually sounds gross that Sheridan is a Mrs. P to a child's Mr. P. And from that picture she looks like she would be committinge statutory rape with a Joseph who looks so young.

They will not be totally bad to people who paid top money back in December, they have to justify overpaying. The BGT performance was enough to convince me that this was not something I would want to see. SS mugging, JD looking like he is doing an impression of a spider and singing frog. All the allocades for Jac, fine, but he looks 12 and certainly not a normal Joseph. The article by West End Wilma saying Jason was offered the part of Joseph by ALW only shows that this is a money grubbing production. I mean JD playing a young man who can sing and look good is only that. But ALW was not interested in a good production only money.
