It’s a lifeline for the travel industry for sure! Unfortunately going to disagree with you on the testing - if you are positive on day 2 then surely you’d want to know? Of course I would want to know. But: 1. At my job they expect me to return when I said I would, not about 10 days late. 2. Quarantine would mean arranging and paying for somewhere to quarantine in London for 10 days. Can you even do that in a regular hotel? Not something I would be looking forward to as a solo traveler and expensive. Edit: At the moment when arriving in the Netherlands from the UK you have to quarantine for 10 days. Forgot about that fact in my previous message. This is because there is a negative travel advise for the UK in the Netherlands. So as long as that does not change a holiday to London is not possible for me anyway.

www.bbc.com/news/uk-57999362Nice to know that from 2 August on I do not have to quarantine when traveling to London from the Netherlands. But the day 2 test is a problem for me. I am usually only staying in london for 3 or 4 days. I cannot take the risk of having to quarantine in the UK for 10 days because of a positive day 2 test (money, job). What do others from outside the UK thing about this? Are you willing to take that risk? It is also not clear to me how to prove that you are fully jabbed. I assume that the EU QR code can be used, but I have not seen that mentioned anywhere. I really would love to see Carousel, Hairspray and Anything goes. But the risk is just too great for me at the moment.

Saw this show in London a long time ago. Preview ticket. I loved it, but it did so bad that it closed a short time after I saw it.

I also received the e-mail about the refund. I would rather have seen the show! Why geo-restrictions? It is not like there are a lot of Rent shows running worldwide, competing for customers.

Has anyone been contacted by the theatre yet about a refund?

Amsterdam concert was cancelled today. For "logistical reasons". According to someone in the Dutch musical forum only 2/3 of tickets were sold.....

I don't think "being uploaded by a person who is in the video" is quite the same thing as "being uploaded by the creator or licensing company who retain full legal rights to the intellectual property portrayed within". I mean, I do amateur shows, and one of the rules we're expected to abide by is not recording any aspect of the show, not even a crappy audio solely to help with rehearsing at home, so I don't think this is as entirely legal as you believe it might be. As the guy is not hiding who he is (he is even replying in the comments) and the video has not removed by Youtube after being available for several months, I assumed the upload would be legal (and yes, I know what they say about "assume" ).

Yesterday I discovered this recently uploaded full professional recording of "In the heights" on Youtube: This is a legal upload. Uploaded by the cast member playing Usnavi. This is an amateur production and the stage is a bit small. But the overall quality is very good. It is great to be able to see the full show. I am really looking forward to seeing the last London performance January 8!

I always stay at the Casa400 hotel. This hotel is close to the Amsterdam Amstel train/metro station (about a 5 to 7 minute walk). And just 2 metro stops (about 3 minutes) away from the Carre theatre. Because the hotel is outside the city centre it is not that expensive, and you get al large, clean room with a nice bathroom and a mini fridge (small supermarket at the station). I stayed there last sunday to see Pippin. Great show, very good cast!

Pippin for some reason never took off in the UK - but I'd be desperate to see the circus themed production that was on Broadway and now on tour in the US come to London/UK Tour. What would other people's view be on Pippin? Also would love Patina Miller to be the Leading Player, or just be back in London even if its for a short stint! Love her! This production is now playing at the Carre theatre in Amsterdam for 5 weeks.
