If Rhea gets good reports I'll go to one of Laytons days off.

I can't imagine Cabaret closing just yet although it seems to only sell nearer the time.
Given ATG spent a lot on the Playhouse, I could see them keeping the theatre like that for the next show.

Sally Ann Triplett goes in as Schneider, but will need to wait for the next pairing to be able to see her...! Snap! Would love to see Sal in this; the others very much less so.

Never heard either of these sing, so won't weigh in. Am excited about finally some more diverse casting though... Is it at least half a shift towards some more proper MT performers again? (obvi not for Rhea but yk). Strictly + Heartstopper seem like less big draws than people like Cara, Jake etc.
Also - WHAM went hard - Layton looks brilliant in the promo pics!

Rhea is a Bristol Old Vic grad so while she’s not done stage work, this isn’t a case of them hiring someone without a trained background.
These two will absolutely be bigger draws than the last couple of pairings.

I hope Layton keeps the drag out of it. It’s not drag.
Either way, with every cast change the idea of spending circa £200 on this becomes more preposterous. I am destined never to see it.

Row G of the Dress is £50. That's probably better than giving £25 for the back of the Upper Circle, which is SO high lol.

No, it’s £80 if you have to book ahead as those of us from out of town have to do. Also, I’m not paying £80 for 7 rows back in the circle. £80 should get you a decent stalls seat.

I just booked Row G of the Dress for late June for £50. Admittedly, it wasn't the weekend I booked, so that's probably it.

I remember when this was first announced with Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley. I said I would give my eye teeth to see them - then I saw the price of the tickets and realised forget the eye teeth, I would need to sell a kidney for decent seats. Then as it progressed and I read more, my enthusiasm waned over the weeks, months and now years. I never did get to see them, or anyone else, and now wild horses wouldn't drag me there. Funny ain't it?

Cara was at the Met Gala in New York last night. And thus is missing performances of Cabaret. Not sure if this was scheduled in advance but if it wasn’t, that’s not very professional of her.

Although I would still love to see it, but there's just never been a combination since I could bring myself to spend money on.

Layton may well have built up a fan base through his appearance on Strictly which the producers are obviously hoping will reflect at the box office? That said not sure I can see that rush unless they are prepared to considerably lower prices to appeal to the tv audience who saw him weekly for free.

Layton is very likeable and very popular. Although his style isn't completely to my taste, I'm sure he'll bring a lot of his fans to the theatre, and I intend to catch his Emcee.
