Hmm. The Old Vic seems to be going for a completely different approach to All About Eve yesterday. Instead of crawling slowly to the front of the queue before being shunted back a few thousand places, this one doesn't seem to be moving at all. The 'estimated wait time' is going down though, so who knows what's happening... Same here - all very confusing!

It let me in when the timer went down to 0, even though my queue number hadn't changed, and booking was very smooth. Only problem was when I went to add another production it too me back to the queue page - it was still my turn but had to wait to be redirected again. So if you are nervous, suggest buying one show at a time.
Lots of tickets left, All My Sons selling pretty well, American Clock much less so, so am going to hang on for offers on that one.

I think those don't go on sale till 5 weeks before previews? Half the tickets for the previews will be on sale for full price but for the £10 seats you have to hang on.

Thats's the way the Old Vic booking system works - you're given a queue number - and that remains your number - it doesn't count down - although the estimated time does. Confused me when I first started using it.
And PWC £10 preview tickets don't usually go on sale until about 4 weeks before the start of the run - not when general booking opens. For those performances only full price tickets will be available at the moment.

Got what I wanted fairly easily: £21 dress circle seats for both The American Clock (I'm curious to see what Rachel Chavkin does with it) and All My Sons. The estimated wait time of 18 minutes from joining the queue turned out to be nearly 30, but it was a painless experience and I'm pleased with what I bought. It's certainly a stark contrast to the two-hour horror show I went through with the National on the first day of the booking period that opened in May.

My estimated time of entry into the site is still rising even though I haven't refreshed the page!
If there aren't any £21 tickets left then I might just wait for £10 previews...

Got on the site, put tickets in the basket and no way of actually seeing the basket, what the hell?!?
Now booted out again because I was trying to navigate around to see how the basket had disappeared.
Other browser coming up in a few minutes......

In stark contrast to yesterday’s experience with All About Eve, I started in position 23 in the queue and went through booking very easily today.

Let me get a ticket for one show and then kicked me out saying that there was an error whilst still letting me purchase the one already in my basket (which now turned up).
Now having to go to the back of the queue again to get the All My Sons ticket.
"There has been an error, and your queue number has been rejected. We have reported the issue, and apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, you will need to click the button below to get a new place at the end of the queue."
Not exactly a stable system.

Started at 558, got through in about 45 minutes, got my preferred £16 circle seat for both. I wish all booking days were so smooth.

Took a while, once in everything went OK, plenty of seats available for both productions, maybe the slow pace was just to level load the system to avoid the meltdowns of yesterday. At work today so just left two browsers doing their thing in the background.
In all a successful week, 5 shows booked and all more or less the seats I was looking for, 2019 shaping up nicely.
The cycle begins again on Monday, the RSC Summer season and a few shows at the Kiln.

That was utterly painless once I got into the website. Lots of availability and the site was speedy.

Is P35 stalls okay monkey or anyone? The Q seats that I had the first two times were gone by the third time. It's slightly more (£30) so I presume there's less of a block?

There's a photo of the view from Q35 on seatplan, which looks like P35 has the pillar beside it rather than in front of it. So can't see how it would restrict anything although theatremonkey notes a complaint from someone about it blocking action happening in the boxes, presumably for a specific production.

Sorry, depending on the date that may have been me... blame @theatremonkey for the recommendation, and some good seatplan photos!

There was no option for box office collection or delivery when I booked for All My Sons - have they done away with physical tickets completely now?

Seamless. Just a few minutes in queue, got my favourite seat (again!), paid and did it all whilst in a conference call (and I was presenting! I'm such a pro.)

Presumably you can still walk up to the box office and buy one.
Otherwise - my memory may be a little hazy, but I don't remember a physical ticket option when I booked for 'Sylvia' and 'Sea Wall' either (I booked both at the same time) - in both cases, there was just a .pdf which you could either display on your phone screen or print at home.
I suspect a lot of people are still at the bottom of the learning curve with .pdf tickets, or at least with gaining entrance to events by displaying them on a phone screen. Nice idea in theory, but it depends on people having their sh*t together and making sure it's saved to somewhere easily accessible on their phone before they get to the point where tickets are checked. Judging by what I saw at 'Sylvia' the other week - and at 'Allelujah' at the Bridge last month - that's something a lot of people haven't yet managed to figure out.

After trying to battle the queues to get the tickets sorted (and eventually giving up) I finally managed to sort them out tonight without any messing. Ended up in the Bayless circle for the American Clock and getting the Q3 stalls pillar seat for All my sons. Based on reviews from board members and @theatremonkey . I thought that it was worth a punt for £21.

Q35 is fine, I've sat there before. It depends a lot where the stage extends out to, but often the pillar does line up with the side of the stage, so you miss nothing at all. That's why it is far more expensive. I was left with P35, which I don’t know and, in the panic to finally achieve something after being ‘errored’ out twice, I didn’t have time to google it. It is worryingly red on your site though.

Actually I think they have changed the price of the seats at the end of row P - P5 is now £21, P35 is £30. Fairly sure they used to be more than that. Interesting that they think there is more of a restriction at the low numbered end than the high end.

Quick question, TM - is there a possibility that rows A-D might still be added, or is E guaranteed to be the front row for the two Miller plays? Thanks...

Thanks - I’m not thinking about day seats, more hoping that my row E seats will remain the front row. I’ll keep an eye on the website as you suggest and maybe exchange them if needed
