Anyone else going to this? For me, The Yard is a bit of a pain to get to but I really like James Fritz's work and the Cleveland Street Scandal is a fascinating story. And the first production shots look interesting. Looking forward to it.

I will be. Saw The Crucible there, which Jay Miller also directed, a few years back and found it weird and wonderful.

Forgot to follow up on this - I enjoyed this, although ultimately found it slight. The acting is pretty great all-round, and there's a keen sense of fun throughout (an exciting 'opening credits' introduces us to all the characters and sets the tone quite nicely, with almost panto vibes). I did find the seats quite uncomfortable after a while. But if you want a fun theatre night out, worth a trip to The Yard.

I enjoyed this. It gave me early 'Operation Mincemeat' vibes, in that someone had found a great story and wanted to tell it in the most fun way possible - obviously, it's a play, not a musical - but the multi-character casting, the creativity of staging, and the joy that the cast seemed to be having in telling the story gave something of the same flavour to me. There's not a lot I took away from it but it was an enjoyable night out.
(Apologies for not posting earlier, I thought I'd seen it mentioned in a thread, but searched for it, couldn't find it, and got distracted by something and ended up not posting at all...)
