Hinted on Twitter this evening that he might be coming to London to do a concert this June.... couldn't find any official details.

Seems very short notice but incredibly exciting if true! Been admiring his voice from afar (youtube) for years now.

Oh my days...i'm there if so. I've wanted to hear him live for an age. I've spent many a long hour listening and watching his shows on youtube or clips/recording. Most recently his Why God Why.
Unless he's just angling for a concert......it does seem short notice for one to actually be planned for June.

Club11 have just tweeted it's true and they are working on it but have just said to sign up to the mailing list for the when/where info as it's released.

Has anyone been to a show at Hippodrome before? I've never been. I think i've seen pics where it's cabaret style with tables. Given i'll probably be on my own i hope i won't be just stuck on a table with a load of people i don't know and there is some normal seating somewhere too i can book for instead haha! I assume it will be there...most stuff like that is.

Has anyone been to a show at Hippodrome before? I've never been. I think i've seen pics where it's cabaret style with tables. It's a nice venue for cabarets. There are tables in front of the stage with space for 2-4 people around them (4 is a push though!). There are booths around the side which I think fit about 4-5 people. Upstairs there is more seating on a balcony. I can't remember exactly what that's like. For the tables in the centre you book your ticket and then when you arrive at the venue they show you to a table they allocate you. However, in my experience they are quite flexible about letting you move to a different table to sit with someone else - such as anthony40! - if you just tell them.

I assume it will be there...most stuff like that is. Ive been there loads and its one of my favourite venues. As others have said, cabaret style with tables and booths downstairs and bench type seating upstairs (which will be cheaper). Ive always ended up sharing tables with others and have had some good and some, frankly bizarre experiences. You can get both drinks and food there. Usually the booths are the most expensive as they are slightly raised but you have the disadvantage of people and waiters walking past you all the time so I find the tables are better as there is not so much interruption. Am waiting to see what the prices are like but i'd really like to see him. Should be a great evening.

I'll be there as well - although can only make the 29th. I've been waiting for JJ to come over, and it has to be on the night I'm seeing Aladdin (29th) and then flying to Ireland for a couple of days on the 30th. Worth getting the night bus home for, though.

Managed to nab a ticket before it sold out. It says it's a guest list stalls ticket, does anyone know what that means?

There were only 175 tickets per show and 5000 people on the website apparently.

5000 tried to get tickets apparently. I managed to get a ticket for the balcony. Anyone sat there before?

If I'd known Anthony, I'd have booked one for you (James here from the quiz table). My phone is pants, so ended up getting a friend to book a ticket for me on hers - can get onto the Hippodrome site on my work computer as it is barred as being a gambling site! Got a stalls seat - must have been one of the last, as it was booked at 16:35.
I hope you manage to get a ticket! May have to bribe one of the waiters to let you in a back door...

I'm legitimately sad I've missed out. As with Anthony, in the unlikely anyone has a spare or knows of any please PM me. So gutted.

Alas there's only so much you can do when you're at work. Just have to pray for either the announcement of a second concert or for a return on the night.

I think it's poor ot was all so short notice. I didn't even know about it going on sale until it had sold out. I was at work.
Have they ever added extra dates? Surely if 5,000 people tried to buy tickets (not to mention all the people who didn't know until it was too late like me) they know there is huge demand for more shows. I really hope so as i can't tell you how gutted i am about this. It's been a dream om mine to be able to see him live. I nearly did when he was in Finding Neverland as i planned a trip around a few US cities but had to cancel due to ill health. Now again u have the chance and i'm unable to get tickets. So gutting.

Literally this was the most stressful rush for tickets EVER but I got one in the end. If for some reason I can't go then I will definitely put it up on here! So shocked that so many people tried and didn't manage to get tickets. The website kept crashing for us and it took 30 mins to verify the card. Horrific! Still, should be a great show!

So shocked that so many people tried and didn't manage to get tickets. The website kept crashing for us and it took 30 mins to verify the card. Horrific! Still, should be a great show! Agree with all of the above - this was an absolute nightmare! I was ready at 4pm on the website - immediately chose the date/seat I wanted added all details and then there was an error with the payment details loading. Tried constantly on the website on explorer/chrome/firefox and on a couple of mobiles and all the same issues - and that was when it actually let you onto the website. Was also redialling to get through to the box office (my phone says I called 100 times! before getting through). When finally did get through, their systems were taking ages and just after taking my details I could hear in the background someone saying 'its sold out'. After being put on hold for a couple of mins, the advisor came back to apologise that it had all sold out but he had pressed confirm before that but his system had frozen. Was told I would get a call back as he was going to speak to his manager - That was at 4.45pm and nothing yet! What a surprise. Luckily - I went straight back online to check if it had really sold out and finally got 1 seat for the late show on 30th June, took the gamble to book it and now very glad I did! Think they massively underestimated the demand for this and in the process have disappointed a lot of people.
