I've had a very quick listen to some of it - sounds pretty decent but I still say that Firework is a poor substitute for One Day I'll Fly Away, and removing The Show Must Go On is a monumental shame.

Still, very much looking forward to it 😀

Was lucky enough to catch the first Monday of previews on Broadway ...only because I bought the least expensive tickets the day they went on sale...and can not recommend this show enough ...was a real theatrical experience from the moment you walked into the theatre until the curtain calls (which you could film with the theatre’s blessing ) ....great it’s coming to London too!

Ive been listening to the cast recording today and its doing some clever stuff with the songs! If you want a song to listen to I would recommend Elephant love Medley. They have done a lot of medleys which sound very good!
Sorry, but they've dicked around with the Elephant Love Medley too much for my taste. The original was perfect.

That sounds wholly unacceptable! That’s the best bit.

I'm really tempted to have a listen but part of me wants to wait until I see it in November and it be completely fresh and new. I have very little will power though...ooh the dilemma!

I felt halfway through ELM as well, it starts to feel less clever and more 'let's just chuck one sentence from a load of songs in and see how it pans out'. Maybe it'll grow.

Saw this in Boston and have since listened to the cast recording. A lot of it is lost without the visual!

Really don't like this version of Sparkling Diamond. Feels like they're cramming in as many songs as they want just for the sake of it.

I feel that this might work better on stage with the visuals too. I love a good medley but it starts to get tiresome when there are so many in one soundtrack.

I absolutely love the cast recording for this. Is the first cast recording have listened to on repeat for AGES. Shame of course that an original CD hasn't had me this excited for a long time, but even with old songs it's arranged, mixed and produced really well. And Aaron Tveit and Karen Olivo sound sensational.
Truly excited about this coming to the West End (and a million times more excited than I could feel about Waitress/Come From Away/Evan Hansen) - hoping for production values extraordinaire!

Oh and forget the Picadilly - they should go all out and do a huge immersive experience at the Dominion!

It's a shame the Piccadilly has a LCD signage as they could have fun with the frontage.

Interesting to note that even if Pretty Woman proves to be a massive hit it will run at the Piccadilly for only about a year.

This is superb news, a great show, with this one you feel you have really seen a show.
I am all over the cast recording, the elephant song which I love on both versions on the cast recordings, however the Broadway version is killing me now.

Yay! So glad we’re not being lumbered with Pretty Woman for ages. Cannot wait to see this. Any predictions on casting then folks?

Exactly - and there isn't even a touring production of Pretty Woman so his tweet doesn't make sense, unless they are setting up the UK production of it to tour immediately after the West End.

I think you misunderstand.
They are putting a touring (cheaper cut down ) version in as they plan to tour it straight after London.
Quite what a cheaper looking version of that show will look like fills me with dread.

I mean Germany already got a carbon copy in Hamburg and shows here rarely last longer than 8-9 months in one venue anymore, so it'll be easy to shuffle around. Should it become a major hit in London, they can still look around for another venue in the West End or first send it on tour and celebrate a "triumphant return to the West End" or something.
