Should be a very interesting and amusing talks if Sir Ian doesn't have some good stories then nobody would.
I wonder if it will just be him on the stage or he will have an "interviewer" to talk to him and then I assume oversee a Q and A as most "Evening's with" seem to.

So maybe I won't be going then, some of the other not yet on sale are to members so presumably they'll be selling too.

I've got advance booking at the Bridge and it was looking very busy when I was on the site - sorry. Did they put the whole house on sale to members then? Oh well. I guess I'll head to the National or the Young Vic, then. No idea, sorry. I don't know what the Bridge's policy is about how much goes on sale in which booking periods - I suspect selling out in the advance period isn't a problem they've had before...!

He managed very well indeed without an interviewer in the cancelled King Lear session. A bit of Q & A from the audience.

I had a flurry of “invitations” to the McKellen event from different theatres. Some are offering premium seats, drinks with, dinner and drinks after...the poor bloke is going to be exhausted.

I believe it's all to raise funds for the different theatres isn't it? Hence all the add-ons available.
Bravo Dame Ian I say, bravo.

So Bravo to ian mckellen

Royal Court more or less gone in 5 minutes, only a couple left when I booked.
Booked a cheaper slightly restricted view as if anything like his Audience With last year, more of an aural experience than a visual one.
Birthday weekend coming together nicely.

It looks like profits from the ATG venues are going to production costs, presumably to enable other venues to keep as much as possible.

Much talk of Sir Ian in the office this morning, and then this afternoon going through some old files for a clear-out a colleague found a permission form signed by him to use a picture from Richard III. I'm keeping that one!

Just booked for Bristol. It's only on sale to 'friends' at the moment and selling well already.

It seems the Theatre Royal Brighton is the exception to the ATG venues being used to pay for the tours as the profit from that run will go to refurbishing the theatre

Not on sale for Leicester until end of the month and even then looks like only to members so booked for Nottingham. The website was so slow, don't know if rush for this or coincidence!

Booked for Lyric Hammersmith. Very, very happy although it means yet another visit to London next year (i.e. flights, accommodation, all that jazz - hello, dust diet, my old friend!). And it also means I'll miss my boyfriend's birthday. Oh well. Priorities, priorities.

Very late to the party - inbox inundated but work well and truly in the way earlier - but just picked up a rather nice (if a tad pricey) ticket for Aylesbury in May. Venues closer to home are still on priority booking at the moment, will check what's left when they go on public sale!

I knew nothing about this and have zero interest in Mr M or his tour, but was rather fed up with the email influx - and endless tweets clogging my timeline. I wish Mr M and his venture well but had I been warned, I'd have unsubscribed/unfollowed a few accounts for the duration.

Booked for Newcastle, quite pleased with the ticket price as was expecting higher. Really enjoyed watching him on the Graham Norton show last night so this will be great 😊

As a director is credited (Sean Mathias of course) I am sure it will be a one-man show. Doesn't preclude a Q&A though.

The many Theatres concept looked good on paper, in reality it appears that most tickets have been scooped up by friends and supporters of the individual Theatres.
Having now looked into it further it looks like touring version of the fund raiser at the Park last year. A solo look back over his career, anecdotes aplenty and some key scenes from his long and distinguished career. One front row person may get the opportunity to hold Gandalf’s sword (if I remember rightly the lucky person was allowed a selfie) there is also an opportunity for a number of people to take the stage to perform the closing scene. (This may not be as simple to co-ordinate in some of the larger venues)
It was a really enjoyable evening and looking forward to going again, hope all that wanted a ticket have managed to do so as you will love spending a relaxed evening in Ian’s company.
