I wonder how many people who complained about a ballot for 'When We Have . . ' are now equally thrilled about a ballot when the tickets are free? I think it's fine as there are plenty of other tickets available! Agree its annoying stopping everyone else from seeing Friday performances though as that makes it less accessible to people outside London who are more likely to be able to do Friday than other mid-week nights, whether or not they have pre-booked a train ticket.

I did manage to grab a Row B Circle in June (just before 11am - the queue suddenly moved quickly), so hopefully the view will be okay.
The interface is really unwieldy on a mobile phone, especially if you want to hunt through dates to compare what's available. I'm sure there were better options, but that was the best I could do in the time available.

Number 560 in the queue- very surprised! Have a special thx. Being in a queue isn’t so bad when you’re doing a 6 hr wait in that most ‘foreign’ of country’s, an airport terminal. Was in a double queue as I was worried about power running out just when I really needed it, and sockets are fiercely guarded From no 2346 in line to 3 tickets to the last matinee took 2hrs. Will finally get to see this - cheered me up a lot!

I'm putting it down to special birthday magic that i started at number 42 in the queue and managed to get tickets. I had hoped for stalls, but i got the centre block circle, and I've never managed to sit centrally at the Donmar! Very excited.

Looks like it's totally sold out now, apart from workshops and spaces for wheelchair users.

theinvisiblegirl Jon I'm wondering if the reason that the 19th April isn't on sale is because that is Good Friday. I joined the queue at 9 am this morning and got in at 9.35 am which was great as I had to leave the house at 9.40 am. The evening I wanted was already sold out in the stalls and had limited availability in the circle but I got two tickets so am happy. I'm now stuck with Hey Big Spender as an earworm!

One circle ticket left on the 1st May matinee this second... and that's it! Someone must have been holding that in their basket and released it. Was totally sold out before then.

My morning was quite stressful to be honest. Firstly I was trying to book whilst at work and people kept coming in and asking me questions - how considerate of people as booking for Charity was far more important! Logged on just before 9 and then at 9 got position 995. Took exactly an hour to get to the front of the queue. The problem I had was the pop up window with the dates. It was right at the far edge of the screen and could not find a scroll bar so it was just stuck on a date in April. Tried everything to change the screen and I knew I only had 10 minutes to book so was in a bit of panic. Eventually, and I don't know how I did it I managed go get the dates to move and found the date I wanted in June ( I was tied to one date only as my niece is in London that weekend to stay with me). Only 2 separate stalls seats but there were some circle side seats in row B so grabbed them. Then it wouldn't let me check out as it kept saying that they had no address registered for me even though I had already signed into my account. After much faffing around managed to fix that and book the seats with about a minute to spare. I then sat down in a dark corner with a Valium. Hope she appreciates the effort I went to....

Suddenly quite a few seats available for evening Thursday 23 May - but stalls so all too dear for me.

I was just coming on to say the same thing. I did take the plunge and get two stalls tickets. There also seemed to be a ticket or two for 2nd May.
I forgot all about the booking, so only went on a few minutes ago.

It’s absolute sacrilege that Bob Fosse’s iconic choreography isn’t going to be used for this! However, Wayne McGregor’s work is beautiful, the best contemporary choreographer around for sure! Far better than that Bourne trash. But I feel McGregor may be out of his depth with this style and I just don’t see it working.

I'll be very surprised if we don't see a transfer of this so I'm not too nervous. With a cast like that, it seems inevitable and crazy to not do it.

Unfortunately, I think it is more one of those situations where it's all good in a tiny house, but the demand just isn't going to be there in a bigger one. Remember, this was last done at the Haymarket in 2010, got good notices and lasted about two months. My guess is they would have a similar issue scaling it up. Transfer could well happen, but it's a risk, I'd feel. The Menier did 5 months IIRC I think if the Donmar revival does transfer, it should be a strictly limited run but it will depend on theatre availability.

I think the opposite - I doubt they'd manage to get that cast available for a longer West End run. I also think it isn't an attractive enough show to survive with the general public - look at Caroline or Change...

I guess they've decided it's not worth their time opening up the Good Friday performance to groups of young people who could well be on their Easter holidays at that point. Hope everyone who's missed out so far manages to get something!

just picked up a £10 in the circle for that date so thanks! Am I likely to be able to see anything? I've never been to the Donmar before...

Yeah, £10 circle seats are a bargain. You only see half the stage if you don't lean forward, and even when you do lean forward you won't see whatever's happening immediately beneath you, but I don't think the people in rows A and B can see much more (and they've paid a lot more) so it's rarely a serious problem, most directors are very good with their use of the space. It is a bit cosy since they replaced the benches with individual seats, but there's a nice padded rail to lean on, I very happily sit in a £10 circle seat every time I go.

Oh, not sideways cosy, front-and-back cosy, especially when people try getting past you to their seat (though I do still get people shoving me off the end of the row sometimes, even with the individual seats).

Hopefully it’s City of Angels and not Commitee! You may be in luck then! Any news on this?

Been checking for returns/more seats released and for anyone interested and with deep pockets: a few good seats are now available for a handful of dates (evenings only) in April and May, but only at £40 and £55.
