Yes, I skimmed through the discussion but didn't see any mention of the NT's new advice - which as you say, @theatremonkey, proved wrong anyway.

I've passed through the queue, I've logged in - and when I go to the times and dates I get a 'no results' page!

Now I'm getting everything sold out - the entire runs of Macbeth, Absolute Hell and John - seemslike major gremlins on the site! Box office closed to phone calls

I've passed through the queue, I've logged in - and when I go to the times and dates I get a 'no results' page! I'm pretty sure they're having technical problems. Until about a minute ago, none of the new dates were showing, and currently John, Macbeth and The Great Wave are all showing as completely sold out. edit: tickets are showing up online now

yup, tics sorted for John and Macbeth. Absolute Hell has run out of cheap tics, so may wait for the next booking period for that one

Thanks Baemax was wondering too, though they don't seem to have been an cheap seats for any of the amex bookings since I've had a card.

I couldn't find anything cheap left, except the far back seats. Wah!

Yeah, I've found the Amex more beneficial for the free tours and bookshop discount than ticket booking, but it's been useful on occasions where I haven't minded how much I've spent, like Angels. I'll be using Amex to book John, but I'll throw my hat in with the public for the rest, fingers crossed!

Yes it now makes me think that really I can justify buying another play text! Tours were all alarmingly early when I last looked. Will join you in the public melee I expect.

Much obliged @baemax likewise I find it more useful for discounts and 'TAKE ALL MY MONEY' shows (not least because it's a credit card to put those on!) But I needed to stalk Anne Marie Duff, I mean that important Shakespeare play, tickets this time...

Well got online after quite quickly but nothing unless I want to sit right at the back or very expensive so will try again next week.

I got my decent seat for John, but I'm now thinking I might even wait for the extension period for Macbeth (just, SUCH a lot of people are doing it next year, I'd like to spread it out if I'm to see more than one). It's Tuesday for the public booking, right? I'd like to have a go at Absolute Hell at least.

Yes Tuesday, 8.30 I think. I tried for Macbeth and Absolute Hell but was only looking for cheap seats.

Not always very high value in terms of ticket yield or donations

Terrible for Amex booking. With Follies I percervered but today I can’t be bothered, I’ll happily take my money elsewhere

I gotta hand it to them - despite landing as 2100 in the queue, i moved through in 29 minutes, and had tickets for Macbeth and Absolute Hell bought and paid for in less than 5 minutes. It really is the smoothest box office system that I've ever used.

I was exactly the same - waited in the queue for half an hour, but then managed to get the exact seats I wanted for the exact dates I wanted for both Macbeth and Absolute Hell. No luck with John though - despite all dates showing availability on the list view, on the actual seat booking page they all showed as 'unavailable'. Not sure if they all sold out or there's some kind of error.
Edit: All dates for John showing as sold out now on the list view, must've just been my browser not updating properly.

What level of booking is it today? (Also John doesn't appear to be sold out at all, the seats left can't possibly *all* be set aside for Amex bookers? I expect they'll have kept some back for public too.)

Anyone else going to the series of Macbeth talks on the 30th of April then seeing the play in the evening? Thought I'd give myself a nice thespy day.

Home, I'm Darling is on sale for its pre-National run at Theatr Clwyd. The front row of the stalls is just £10 at early bird prices. Really enjoyed the Pleasance production of Posh earlier this year so looking forward to this. www.theatrclwyd.com/en/whats-on/home-im-darling/
