Half A Sixpence related, but does anyone know what is happening regarding FOH jobs for this production. The thing is, this would be the perfect job for me as a student re: performance times. But, there is nothing on the website under recruitment, and I know that DMT have put their employees in other theatres. It might be worth dropping the Theatre Manager an email. Their address is here: www.delfontmackintosh.co.uk/Theatres/NoelCowardTheatre/NoelCowardTheatre_FindUs.aspOr you could always drop a CV into the Box Office. Also, delighted this is getting a cast recording!

I was going to apply but decided against it, I'm going to wait to settle into university first.

Is Emma Williams talents wasted in this or does she get a fair bit to do? Because I wanna see this in the hope that, like going to Show Boat, knowing nothing may prove a good thing however if this isn't good, generally you can always fall on Emma for a bit of talent in the show! The cast do look amazing though!

Emma Williams has two new duets with Kipps - I think "Believe in Yourself" and "Just a Few Little Things2. She makes good with what is largely an unsympathetic role.

Charlie Stemp is brilliant in the role. So much energy. They could bottle and sell it.

Walked past the Noel Coward loading doors today. Looks like an identical set-up from Chichester with the band on a raised level upstage.

Elaine Paige played 'Pick Out A Simple Tune' on her Radio Show today. She said it was from the 2016 Cast Recording. It sounded live so do we think it was recorded live at Chichester?

From the First Night Records website... So surely it should be "The 2016 Chichester Cast Recording" shouldn't it???

Does Cameron Mackintosh do any studio cast recordings anymore?! He owns too many theatres and not enough recording studios...

The fact he's even brought this in shows he's lost the plot. I imagine availability will remain 'huge' until it's given an early closing notice.

Saw on What's On Stage that Half A Sixpence gave Cameron a nice surprise, when he thought he was just going to see the loading in, absolutely beautiful.
I wouldn't write this shows obituary just yet, I expect it to get good reviews and word of mouth, it is a feel good show and how couldn't crash and bang send any audience members' out on St Martins Lane with a big grin.
This out be a re-run of Mrs Henderson Presents, we had the same doom merchants for Singin' in the Rain.

When I saw the show in Chichester I concurred with mrmusicals' view that it was a five star production of a three star musical; it was entertaining and frothy but lacked dramatic tension.
Since then I've been amazed by how many local people said they loved it and it was the best thing they have seen at the theatre for ages. Before anyone goes on about the geriatric audience at Chichester, several people said that they went in a family group representing various generations and all loved it.
I agree with Phantom of the Opera that it could do reasonably well; I can see it appealing to those who want to combine seeing a show with pre-Christmas West End shopping.

Cough, cough, who is Phantom of the Opera? I have the same lawyers as Cliff Richards you understand. But I also agree it is a fluffy 5 star production of a 3 star musical, but that is no bad thing and is a compliment, also the West End love fluff.

Apologies to Phantom of London. A Freudian slip - or mistype rather.

I think they've mucked up the wording of their statement too. Free refunds for all and a free show. Don't show up, and no refund?? "The performance will still go ahead but you will be offered a full refund should you decide to attend."
