Some Pro-Trump asshole attempted to interrupt Curtain Call at a recent performance by holding a flag at the front of the stsge saying "Vote Trump". But cast member Timothy Hughes was having none of it, and as soon as the flag was raised he snatched it and threw it backstage and bowed as if nothing happened, with the guy clearly pissed at him. Video of the incident and report below.
Bravo Timothy for doing this, what a disrespectful man, both for his actions at this performance and, well, his views all together.

Finally saw this last night. Well I have to say it was sweet and had nice music and singing - but really, it was a totally missed opportunity.
Apart from the cool reindeer the production should have been EPIC but sadly wasn’t. The show was full of corny jokes, colour blind casting gone gaga (understudy issues with white child/black adult), an average set, 70’s cheap glitter curtains, the Olaf puppet didn’t work, at times panto-esque and the tickets cost a million dollars.
6/10 It left us both rather cold. zzzzzzzzzz

On another note now I saw this finally on Broadway - I have no care if it comes to the West End or not. Such a missed opportunity.

So I've just seen this completely and utterly legally and I must say, I certainly enjoyed it. The design and score is clearly the best part of the show, and the two girls are amazing. I found the worst parts were Olaf who was just annoying and that jumpsuit Cassie wears in Act 2 was awful. But Let it Go was amazing, that dress change was everything!

Cheeky but of gender swapping, Ryann Redmond set to take over as Olaf! Also, Joe Carroll will join the show as Hans, replacing John Riddle, with current cast member Noah J. Ricketts taking over the role of Kristoff. Disney has also announced that beginning on February 19 the role of Sven will be shared equally by current star Andrew Pirozzi and alternate Adam Jepsen, with each actor playing four performances a week. www.broadway.com/buzz/194603/frozen-announces-casting-gender-swap-ryann-redmond-to-play-olaf/

Cheeky but of gender swapping, Ryann Redmond set to take over as Olaf! After saying she had news that would be announced "next week," Ryann Redmond whispered what it was to host Ben Cameron during one event at BroadwayCon. His face was amazing and I understand why now.

I'm actually really curious about the Olaf-thing, having not seen the show. Is it still going to be Olaf? I'm assuming yes. Will they change any of the score?

To be honest the way the role works I really can’t see a female playing the role of Olaf effecting it much.

Agreed, Olaf is made of snow and has no gender as far as i'm concerned.

not keen on a female Olaf , as the name says its male, even if it does not have a.... but Olaf is the one thing i could live the most with if they have to do that brutal gendering a male Elsa or Anna and i am out of it

To recap: A princess of a fictional kingdom can create an ice castle due to a blessing/hydration disorder and people are hung up on the gender presentation of a sentient snowman.

To recap: A princess of a fictional kingdom can create an ice castle due to a blessing/hydration disorder and people are hung up on the gender presentation of a sentient snowman. HAH! Very good point! I'm mostly curious from a musical perspective - is she singing in the original key (props to her if yes!)? Will it change harmonies? Like I said, haven't seen the show so I have no idea what impact it might have. Either way I think it'll be fun!

From Deadline -
Disney’s Frozen has become Broadway’s first long-running casualty of the COVID-19 pandemic and industrywide shutdown. The production, which opened March 22, 2018 at the St. James Theatre, announced today that it will not return when Broadway reopens – whenever that might be.

It's been announced that the Broadway production of this won't reopen after the lockdown. I suppose it's also likely the London production will be delayed?

It's been announced that the Broadway production of this won't reopen after the lockdown. I suppose it's also likely the London production will be delayed? I did read that the Broadway production closed so other productions of the show could utilise the sets and costumes and save money. So there’s still a small hope that it’ll go ahead as normal.
