42nd Street tonight...at the cinema. It'll never catch on! I wouldn't bother, the show's rubbish 😁

I see there's a one-off charity reading of Pinter's Mountain Language next Tuesday at 6pm - all seats a fiver from the Royal Court. Sadly not the original casting of Michael Gambon and Miranda Richardson, which must have been a treat. Anyway, if interested: royalcourttheatre.com/whats-on/mountain-language/Other than that, the week started at the Opera House with The Magic Flute and finishes at the Coliseum for my first ENO event of the season (The Mikado). Decent seats, as well. If there's time, I'd love to scoot across the water tomorrow and get a first look at Steve McQueen's 'Year 3' project at yer Tate Britain:
Under £60 the lot, Madam

Tonight - School of Rock Wednesday - Six (Tour) Thursday - Mary Poppins
Needs to decide on a matinee show for Thursday as well, seems a waste of a day off to only go to London for the an evening show

Just been invited to the Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday at the Colliseum. Looking at the list of people who are going to be there has made me rather excited.

Wednesday - Curtains in Dartford. If you don't hang around, maybe you'll have time to take in a show after you've shopped for home furnishings! (Sorry, I must pull myself together.)

Well that's impressive, wish I had the stamina I got back from Wales and the Wurzels a couple of hours ago feeling like Eliza Doolittle after her eureka moment.Fortunately I find theatre going and the associated rail travel very relaxing. 3am now, wide awake and off to Bognor in 7 hours !

Not a musical or show but I am going to see Gordon Buchanan (bbc wildlife producer, cameraman and presenter) talk I have seen him before and I could listen to him all day he has got a presence about him and is very interesting; he has been referred to as the next Attenborough (not that anyone can reach that).

Sat - White Christmas Sun - Michael Ball's Radio 2 show live from Savoy Theatre How was the radio 2 show from the savoy? It was fantastic! Michael Ball was a little less vocal than last year as he was ill and saving his voice, but still put on a great show. Rick Astley was epic, not many Sundays where you're up dancing to Never Gonna Give You Up at 11.30am! I didn't particularly expect to enjoy Status Quo but I thought they were great.
