Sat next to Jac Yarrow and Bonnie Langford tonight at Wild About You. Had a little chat with them in the interval when I came over a bit fan boy but they were genuinely friendly and had a nice chat about Pippin and Rachel Tuckers liking for wearing a nightdress on stage.
My first celeb spot at a normal performance (one-off concerts I’ve seen a few each time) - Trevor Dion Nicholas a few rows behind me near the front of the stalls at Enemy of the People last night. I honestly felt more starstruck seeing him there “in real life” than Matt Smith up on the stage! I smiled at him a few times and he smiled back. Really wanted to tell him how much I loved him in N2N and the Side Show concert and looking forward to seeing him again in N2N when it transfers, but I controlled myself - felt like not the done thing when he’s enjoying an evening as a private person? Maybe if he’d actually been next to us.
Plus I’d just slightly ticked off some young lasses in the bar when I overheard them discussing how loud they were going to whoop when Matt Smith came on - they didn’t in the end thank goodness - and they were sat right near us, so I couldn’t drop my public persona of perfect etiquette theatergoer where they could see haha!
I had a near miss with Julian Lloyd Webber on the stairs at the NHS Concert earlier in the week. There again, it’s not the first time I’ve had a near miss with Julian (catch me at the right time and I’ll tell you about the Tesco wine incident) and it probably won’t be the last.
Sat directly behind Rufus Wainwright and Helena Bonham Carter 18 March, Opening Night. RW, laughed at not so funny moments HBC, didn’t seem to find it funny!
Cool Rider concert tonight and Dame Joan Collins with Jiliet Mills sat 4 seats away in my row. Juliet is married to Maxwell Cauldield who was in the show. Joanie looked bemused throughout.
